Baggage
Lets face it, we all carry around some baggage. I dont mean the luggage you pack when you are going to San Diego, I mean the emotional, and sometimes physical, baggage from our pasts. Sometimes the baggage is very minor. Sometimes the baggage makes every new day seem like a chore. This baggage shows up in just about every environment. Every encounter. Everywhere! There is no "good baggage" or "bad baggage" . Just baggage. The most important aspect of baggage is what you do with it. Do you pretend you dont have any? Do you ignore it, like it will go away? Do you acknowledge it? Do you control it? Does it control you? How do you let your baggage come into play in your everyday life? Does your baggage prevent you from doing anything? Does it enable you to do anything? In short, do you coexist with your baggage, or does your baggage control you? In everyday life we meet millions of people, everyone of whom has some baggage. How others interact with their baggage, as well as your own understanding of your baggage, will have major bearing on the actual interaction between the two of you. It is not enough to accept your own baggage. You must also be able to accept others baggage. Not as a burden, not as a target, but as an opportunity to build upon. I do not believe that any baggage is incompatible with any other baggage, just the people possessing the baggage, and how they exist with their baggage.
