Saga of a Knight (part 4) This story had led the Knight through quite a few twists and turns. And with each new avenue that he encountered, new possibilities emerged. The Knights journey, at times, seemed to be without reason. The trails he traveled seemed to take him nowhere, and if he was making any progress, it most certainly was not evident by simple inventory of his surroundings. The Knight pushed on harder and more determined than ever, yet always seemed to return back to the domain of the beginning. This provided the Knight with the safety of his protected surroundings, but did not fulfill any of his quest. The roadblocks he faced were all too real, to him at least! The brave Knight came to the stark realization that his perception was not that of vision, but that of illusion. His strength was from his armor. His quest was being driven from his heart, but not before being dramatically interpreted and transformed by his brain. This new perception left the Knight very alone. Could it be that everything he had based his quest upon was for naught? Had he wasted the time and energy of himself and others in pursuit of nothing? Through close examination, and the counseling of the sage, as well as a few trusted others, the Knight was beginning to see many other possibilities for his future. Could the Knight be complete without a fair maiden? Could the Knight discover some other fulfillment that would provide satisfaction equal to his imagined destiny? Home - Index - Knight pt. 5 |
